Hello. My name is Nicole Jacobs and I’m passionate about putting together well-written, well-presented and creative content that people love to read.
Little Red Pen is the result of many conversations over the years of people dejectedly telling me that they ‘can’t write for quids,’ ‘don’t have an eye for detail,’ or are simply ‘sick of the sight’ of their report/flyer/what-have-you.
Well, the good news is… I love it!
There’s nothing quite like the feeling of picking up a well put together flyer, newsletter or report. (Actually, that’s not quite true… there are plenty of things that make me feel good – like sitting outside during the long summer evenings, cooking the perfect seafood dish or coming home to my dog Lucy’s happy little face.) But professionally…? Being able to catch an error or rewrite a clumsy sentence before it makes it to print is EXTREMELY SATISFYING (to me).
I have over 18 years’ experience working in government communications, marketing and project roles and have written, edited and proofread my way through websites, documents and targeted content of all shapes and sizes.
From campaign/advertising content and marketing materials to social media and online content, traditional print materials such as flyers, brochures, posters, newsletters and menus, as well as reports, communication strategies, letters and more… I can help create and correct content so that you don’t have to.
